Season 6, Podcast 104, Isaiah 45:8-25, “I Am the Lord; and there is None Else Pt. 2”

Isaiah declares that Christ is the creator of the earth.

Isaiah 45:8

Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it.

Modern science attempts to explain the design but denies the designer. They applaud the creation but ignore the creator. Intelligent design requires purpose and purpose requires God. God condemns those who deny the creator.

Isaiah 45:9

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Denying our divine creator is like denying our own parents.

Isaiah 45:10

Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

The Savior declares that this is the work of his hands. We are his sons and daughters.

Isaiah 45:11-13

Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts.

Again, we are reminded of the words of the Lord to Job.

Job 38:4-6

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

In the following verse the Egyptians, Ethiopians, and Sabeans who symbolize the world of power, wealth, and pride shall cast away their idols and recognize the God of Israel as the only true God. This almost certainly is in reference to the millennium when Christ shall be recognized as the only true God.

Isaiah 45:14

Thus saith the Lord, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

All idol worshiping nations shall be ashamed of their idols and shall acknowledge the invisible God of Israel.

Isaiah 14:15-16

Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

Isaiah envisions the day when Israel shall come to Christ and be gathered. The gathering shall be eternal for the Lord says, “world without end.” Everything God does is through the prism of an eternal perspective.

Isaiah 45:17

But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

Again, Christ establishes his position as the almighty creator and declares that the earth was created for man.

Isaiah 45:18

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Cults like secrecy. They want to be unique and conduct their business in the shadows at the exclusion of others. God does not work in secret. He speaks  plainly. He declares only that which is absolute truth.
