Ronald Season 5 Episode 152

Season 5 Podcast 152, A New Voice of Freedom, Argument for the Existence of God, “Conditions of Law.”

All laws, temporal or spiritual, work through the principle of causality; otherwise, we would have no access to power.  It is the principle of causality that forms the conditions and boundaries of law.  Without the principle of causality, we would be automatons subject to irreversible law.  Without conditions of law, freewill couldn’t exist.  The cause or conditions of law lead to a specific effect.  The price of disobeying the conditions of mortal law is entropy and temporal death or being cut off from the earth.  The price of violating the conditions of spiritual law is spiritual death or being cut off from the presence of God.

The principle of causality has two parts: cause and effect. That is what gives time its arrow. In other words, that is why time flows only in one direction. The cause, which we call the conditions of law, always precedes the effect. The effect refers to the consequences of law. All laws have conditions, and all laws have consequences. The more we know about the conditions of law, the more freedom we have. The more we know about the consequences of law, the more wisdom we have. Temporal laws have temporal conditions and temporal consequences. Spiritual laws have spiritual conditions and spiritual consequences. We consider the laws of nature to be temporal laws. We consider the commandments of God to be spiritual laws. The promises of God are the consequences of obeying the commandments of God. Without the conditions of law, temporal or spiritual, there is no freedom.

To understand freedom, we must distinguish among freewill, freedom, agency, and liberty.

·      Freewill is a product of spiritual law, not temporal law. Freewill resides only in the spirit not the body. Will may be defined as intelligence, consciousness, and life. Intelligence cannot be created or destroyed. It self-exists. The will is set free by spiritual law established by God. Only by disobedience to spiritual law do we forfeit freewill.

·      Freedom is a product of temporal, or mortal law. It applies to the body and the brain.

·      Agency is a product of knowledge of good and evil and the ability to choose between the two.

·      Liberty is a product of the laws or government established by man. They may be changed. Nations or states determine the amount of liberty afforded its citizens.

On this earth, in our imperfect state, without conditions, we would have no freewill, freedom, agency, or liberty. The conditions of spiritual law determine our freewill. The conditions of temporal law determine our freedom. The conditions of the commandments of God determine our agency. The conditions of man-made law determine our liberty.

Knowledge is the key to all freedom. Christ said.

John 8:31-32

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The word ‘truth’ may be applied to freewill, freedom, agency, and liberty. No form of freedom can exist without truth. They are in concomitant variation, the greater the truth, the greater the freedom. The greater the lies, the greater the captivity.

We must have a knowledge of the conditions of law. Those who claim that we do not have freewill because of law do not understand law. They do not understand God. And they do not understand the purpose of life.

Opposition is necessary to freedom—when I use the word freedom in such a context, I refer to all four classes. Without opposition there can be no freewill, freedom, agency, or liberty.
